Simpson, MN (KROC AM News) - A woman was hurt over the weekend after being injured in an accident involving a deer in rural Olmsted County.

The Sheriff’s Office says the 53-year-old woman from Virginia state was riding in a three-wheeled motorcycle when the accident happened on County Rd 16 near Simpson around 9:00 am Sunday.

The motorcycle was driven by a 50-year-old Rochester woman who swerved to avoid hitting the deer. Her passenger either jumped or fell out and suffered a head injury. She was not wearing a helmet. The woman was taken by ambulance to the hospital. There is no word on her medical condition.
