Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Minnesota Department of Transportation today listed more than 200 road and bridge projects that are on MnDOT's 2021 construction schedule.

The projects scheduled to take place in southeastern Minnesota carry an overall price tag of nearly $150 million. The largest is the expansion of Highway 14 from Dodge Center to Owatonna at a cost of about $106 million.

  • Highway 14 in Dodge and Steele counties
    Description: Expansion of Hwy 14 from two lanes to four lanes on 12.5 miles between Dodge Center and Owatonna.
    Construction Dates: Work began in 2020, traffic expected on new route in fall of 2021.
    Completion in 2022.
    Construction Bid: $105,956,000
  • Highway 14 in Dodge and Olmsted counties
    Description: Line culverts from Dodge County Road 9 to Olmsted County Road 5
    Construction Dates: July to September, 2021
    Construction Estimate: $490,000
  • Hwy 250 in Fillmore County
    Description: Repave highway, replace culverts from Lanesboro north of Hwy 16 to Hwy 30
    Construction Dates: July to October, 2021
    Construction Bid: $3 million
  • Interstate 90 Freeborn County
    Description: Install high-tension cable median barrier from Hwy 13 to I-35
    Construction Dates: October to November, 2021
    Construction Bid: $ 644,693
  • Hwy 52 in Goodhue County
    Description: Reconstruct southbound lanes, Hwy 60 bridge replacements, construct interchange at Hwy 57 at Hader, safety improvements south of Cannon Falls to north of Zumbrota
    Construction Dates: July 2021-2023
    Construction Bid: $69,698,166
  • Hwy 58 in Goodhue County
    Description: Repave asphalt from 0.15 miles north of 21st St. to Hwy 61 in Red Wing
    Construction Dates: July to October, 2021
    Construction Bid: $ 1,543,424
  • Hwy 76 in Houston County
    Description: Repair three bridges over Money Creek north of Houston
    Construction Dates: Late August, early-September to October, 2021
    Construction Estimate: $50,000
  • Interstate 90 in Mower County
    Description: Replace 28th St. NE bridge over I-90 on east side of Austin
    Construction Dates: May to October, 2021
    Construction Estimate: $3.9 million
  • Highway 14 in Olmsted County
    Description: Install traffic management system equipment from Byron to Rochester
    Construction Dates: June 2021
    Construction Estimate: $529,000
