A significant snowstorm will move through Southeast Minnesota later today. Travel will be difficult and dangerous. Plan accordingly. The latest forecast models show the snow is expected to start falling in the Rochester area around 6:00 PM or 7:00 PM this evening and will continue through the day on Tuesday.

A Winter Storm Warning has been issued and means travel will be very difficult or treacherous. Expect slick conditions. Heavy snow and blowing snow will significantly reduce visibility. 5-8 inches of snow is expected by tomorrow morning with another 1-3 inches possible tomorrow.

Due to the timing of the storm there is a good chance that schools will be delayed or closed on Tuesday. If classes are impacted we'll post that info on our site and on our mobile app. You can also get the latest road conditions for Southeast Minnesota on our mobile app.
