A Southern Minnesota man was recently charged in Le Sueur County Court after he had called a woman over 200 times in a 14-day span. 24-year-old Thomas Carey of Le Center according to the criminal complaint, "repeatedly made telephone calls with the intent to abuse, disturb, or cause distress, which is deemed telephone harassment, a misdemeanor."

On March 13th the victim contacted the Le Center Police Department about Carey's repeated phone calls between February 26, 2019, and March 12, 2019. Le Center Police observed the number of phone calls coming from Carey's number to the victims at different times of the day. The victim told police that she wanted no contact with Carey and just wished that he would stop calling her.

No court date was given for when Carey is expected to appear.
