Brandon, MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester teenager was hurt when a tire broke loose from a trailer and crashed into the windshield of the SUV she was driving.

The Minnesota State Patrol says 19-year-old Anna Thompson was driving on I-94 near Alexandria in west-central Minnesota when the accident happened around 5:00 PM Saturday.

The trailer was being pulled by a pickup truck that was headed in the opposite direction. The State Patrol says “The wheel rolled through the median striking the Honda Pilot's windshield on the driver side.”

Thompson was taken to an Alexandria hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

A passenger identified as 42-year-old Erin Burggraff of Rochester was not injured.

The truck was driven by 73-year-old Nathe Josepho of Sauk Center.
