Rochester Teen Treated for Injuries Caused by Pistol Whipping
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Rochester teenager’s quest to buy drugs resulted in a beating Friday night. Rochester police officers were called to the emergency room at the Olmsted Medical Center late Friday night after a 15-year-old boy came in with significant injuries from a pistol whipping.
A spokesman says the teenager told officers he was looking to buy some pot in the 1900 block of 8 ½ Street Southeast around 10 pm Friday when he approached a group of black males on the sidewalk. One of the men took out a handgun and struck the boy multiple times on the head with the weapon.
They were gone when officers went to the scene, but they did find the teenager’s blood on the sidewalk at the site where he said the assault occurred.
