Rochester, MN (KROC AM) - Rochester police say the woman found dead in her apartment last year drowned in her bathtub while under the effects of alcohol and drugs.

Police Capt. Casey Moilanen says the boyfriend of 27-year-old Kaira Greene found her in her apartment at the Gates of Rochester on October 5th.

Moilanen says the death was initially considered “suspicious” because of Greene’s young age and some other issues.

Moilanen says the medical examiner has officially ruled the cause of death as “accidental drowning.”

He says tests also found high levels of fentanyl and alcohol in Greene’s system.
