Forbes recently shared their 'Best Places to Retire' list and 25 locations in the United States were listed, including our very own Rochester, Minnesota.  Congrats on making the list, Rochester!

Every year, Forbes researches hundreds of towns to find the best locations for those looking to retire.  Some of the criteria that they deep dive into include areas that offer high quality of life at an affordable price, availability of medicare care, serious crime rate, and a city that encourages a healthy and active lifestyle.

What towns made the list?  You'd think that most of the locations would be all about warmth and sunshine, but that is not the case.  As you scroll through the list below you will see quite a few towns in the midwest that have seen their fair share of cold weather and snow.

I've got a few years until I can start thinking about retirement, but if I had to pick anywhere on the list of 25, I'd probably pick San Antonio, Texas.  It's not too far from the ocean and it's just a few hours from Chip and Joanna Gaines in Waco, Texas.  I also love the heat so, yep...I've basically moved there already.
