Rochester Man Reports Carjacking

Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester man was a victim of a carjacking over the weekend.

The 31-year-old man told police he was sitting in his vehicle waiting for a friend when two men appeared. The man says one of the men hit him over the head with a handgun and ordered him to get out of his vehicle.

The armed man told the victim to empty his pockets or he would shoot him. The two took the victim’s phone and then got into his vehicle and drove off. It was later found abandoned.

The incident happened in the 400 block of 8 ½ St NW around 9:45 PM Sunday.
