Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - The name of the Rochester man who was seriously injured Tuesday after crashing a go-kart on a city street has been released.

Police say 20-year-old Kyle Berquam suffered a life-threatening head injury after he crashed near Lincoln at Mann school.

Police say he had been driving the go-kart in the school parking lot. He left around 9:30 PM and that’s when the crash occurred. It was witnessed by a friend.

Police say Berquam was breathing but was not conscious when first responders arrived.

He was reported in critical condition at St Marys Hospital Thursday morning.
