Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Two Rochester brothers were arrested over the weekend after being caught with several pounds of marijuana they apparently brought back from California.

Olmsted County Sheriff’s Capt. Scott Behrns says investigators who had been tipped off began following their vehicle on I-35 after it entered Minnesota on Saturday.

The vehicle was pulled over on Highway 63 near the Rochester airport and a search turned up eight pounds of pot and some marijuana wax. Arrested were 24-year-old James Siewert and his 22-year-old brother Michael. Behrns says the drugs have an estimated street value of $12,000.

A Rochester woman who was pulled over Saturday on a traffic stop was also caught with several pounds of pot - even more than the other incident.

Behrns says a deputy spotted a vehicle cross the centerline of Highway 52 near Chatfield. Behrns says the deputy pulled the vehicle over and a search turned up 9 ½ pounds of pot and some marijuana wax. It had an estimated value of $13,500.

Arrested was 30-year-0ld Mary Seitl of Rochester.
