Being a fellow pet owner this one tugged at me, and if it helps Mabel find a home, even better. The Kenyon Police Department is looking to find a Mabel, a dog that was found about a month ago, a forever home. In a post from the Police Department yesterday we find out a little more about this adorable pup.

Mable needs to find her forever home...

Good evening,

We posted about this found dog a while ago,...

As far as to what kind of dog Mabel is, besides a good dog, Kenyon PD went all detective on the case and determined she is "a mixed breed and we feel has some sort of hound in her bloodline. She has a bark and howl of a hound and she certainly is nose driven like one."

Mabel doesn't have a chip, she appears to have been altered and is up to date on shots. She requires plenty of exercise, and already knows how to sit, shake, and the command down. This could be your new hunting companion, farm dog, or best friend.

The adoption fee will be reasonable according to the posting, and "any and all payments are asked to be made to the Kenyon Veterinarian Clinic attention the Vincent fund."

My wife and I have taken in pets from local rescues over the years and I swear the pet's know you chose them.

I found it pretty cool that a local police department, like Kenyon's, is trying to find this pooch a new home. Let's find her a home today!
