Voting for the Doodle for Google contest is on! There are many amazing drawings done by kids grades kindergarten through 12th grade from around the US and US Territories. There's one doodle that we definitely have to vote for because it was done by a Minnesota elementary schooler.

To get to the voting portion of the Doodle for Google contest you have to make it through the first round of judging where judges select one doodle from each state and territory. If you're selected that means you're a state/territory winner! Then it's our turn to vote for the five National Finalists. The Minnesota drawing is in the kindergarten through 3rd grade group.

How Does Voting Work?

You have one vote per age group. The groups are K-3rd, Grades 4-5, 6-7, 8-9, and 10-12. You have between now and Friday, May 14th at 11:59 PM to cast your votes, which you can do HERE. Then the five National Finalists will be announced, one for each age group. Then a group of judges will decide between the 5 finalists who the one National Winner will be in June and that doodle will be featured on Google.

Pretty cool, right? Not only will all of these great artists get bragging rights, but they get some pretty cool prizes from Google too.

What do They Win?

For being among the 54 state and territory winners, they win "Google hardware, [a] celebratory message from Google, [and fun] Googley swag". For being selected as one of five National Finalists, on top of those other prizes they also win a $5,000 scholarship. And finally, for being selected as the National Winner they win a $30,000 scholarship and a "$50,000 technology package for their school/non-profit organization".

Other than the Minnesota artist, there are also doodles from our surrounding states too. Here are the doodles to look out for so we know who to vote for!
