Winter is coming! I finally watched Game of Thrones during this pandemic, so I actually know what that means now. Fortunately, the White Walkers and Night King are not heading this way, but we will see some snow. Are you ready for it?

A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for our area. And when I say our area, I mean all of Olmsted County, Wabasha County, and Dodge County. Plus, parts of Wisconsin.

We can expect to see snow, possibly lots of snow. The National Weather Service says anywhere from 2 to 5 inches, maybe more, between 10 this morning and 10 tonight. And, it will cause slippery road conditions which will likely impact the evening commute.

It could be a pretty poopy winter, or so they say. NOAA's Winter Predictions show a Snowier-Than-Average Winter for Minnesota. Click here to read more about NOAA's predictions.

The Farmer's Almanac is basically saying the same thing:

"In the Upper Midwest (Minnesota and Wisconsin and northern Michigan), snowfall will be above normal. In the eastern Dakotas, snowfall will be below normal. The snowiest periods will be in late December, early and late January, late February, and early March."

I mean, it's still 2020, can we really expect anything less? At least it doesn't sound like we will have another polar vortex (fingers crossed). The Farmer's Almanac says temps will be warmer than average.
