The National Weather Service in Miami, FL, issued an alert for falling iguanas. Yes, you read that right, falling iguanas.

When you talk about Florida in the winter, you normally think about Sunny and 75 not freezing temperatures. Last night the tropical state saw its temps drop into the low 30's and it has the ability to affect local wild life, namely iguanas.

One twitter user had little fun with the post by the NWS and raised a very good question.

Iguanas, which are cold blooded animals, become immobile when temps drop below 40. So if you are out in Florida, make sure you have a baseball glove and a helmet for the poor little reptiles.
