Undated (KROC-AM News) - The winter storm that moved across Minnesota yesterday contributed to hundreds of traffic crashes, including at least one deadly crash that occurred in western Minnesota.

The State Patrol has not released any details concerning the traffic fatality in Todd County or a serious injury crash that was reported in Nobles County during the storm. Statewide the State Patrol says it has received reports of over 350 crashes and close to 300 vehicle spin-outs and vehicles off the road between 7 AM Tuesday and 7:30 this morning.

While some slick travel conditions did develop in the Rochester area and parts of southeastern Minnesota Tuesday evening, the region was spared from the worst of the storm system. Heavy snow was reported across central Minnesota, where the Brainerd area was the hardest hit and saw around 10 inches of accumulation. Over seven inches was reported near St. Cloud and the Twin Cities area saw 4-6 inches of snow. The storm also produced significant icing in areas of southern Minnesota, mainly west of I-35.
