Walkers to Change the Face of Liver Disease!
Rochester, MN (September 22, 2018) The Upper Midwest Division of the American Liver Foundation is hosting its Annual Liver Life Walk at Silver Lake Park East, 701 E. Silver Lake Drive NW , on Saturday, September 22nd. Registration opens at 9:30 am and the Walk which begins at 10:00 am will run until noon. The 5K Walk/Fun Run will help bring awareness to liver disease and provide financial support for the Foundation’s educational programs and patient services which are offered to the millions of Americans battling liver disease.
“Liver Life Walk of Rochester is an event for people of all ages, “said Dee Ann Girard, Division spokesperson. “Whether you’re 16 or 86 years old, it doesn’t matter. The point is that people come out and have a great time while walking for a great cause.”

Last year’s event had 60 participants and $7,670.00 was raised. This year 70 participants are expected with a fundraising goal of $10,250.00. According to Girard, one of the main purposes of the event besides raising funds is to educate people about the importance of being tested for the more than 100 types of liver disease including Hepatitis.

The registration fee is $20 for walkers 18+ - Children are complimentary. The event will take place rain, or shine. For more information please see our website:
