Drive-thru Coffee and Gift Shop Opening Soon in Kasson

If you hear someone say that they heard a moose is in Kasson, Minnesota, don't freak out.  I did some digging today and I'm pretty sure all the moose buzz is about the new coffee and gift shop called the "Smiling Moose" that will be opening in the previous HyVee Pharmacy location at 408 West Main Street.

According to the Dodge County Independent, the owners, Kim and Steve White plan to open their new shop in April.  The "Smiling Moose" is going to be more than just a coffee shop though.  You'll be able to grab a traditional coffee drink, an espresso, or a tea sourced from Fiddlehead Coffee Roasters, Trail Creek Coffee Roasters, and Mandala Tea.  If the coffee doesn't tempt you to make a visit, maybe the food will!  They will also be featuring sandwiches, soup, baked goods, and convenience store items like candy and beverages.  Their gift shop portion of the store will sell Kasson-Mantorville clothing, home decor items, fun gifts for all ages, and also women's clothing and jewelry.

It's been a few years but I was once a resident of Kasson, Minnesota and I would have LOVED having a shop like the Smiling Moose in town.  I probably would have kept them open alone from all the coffee I drink, but it seriously sounds like it will be an amazing place for the community.

Now...if there really is a moose roaming around Kasson, please find me ASAP.  Seeing one of these amazing animals is on my bucket list.
