One simple ingredient from one supplier made a lot of people sick all over the country and right here in Downtown Rochester last month. In fact, of Minnesota's 35 confirmed cases of the food illness Cyclospora, 26 came from City Market because of now recalled basil (exported by Siga logistics de RL de CV).

The remaining Minnesota cases were confirmed from Hermantown's Outback Steak House, and Duluth Grill catering.

According to the Rochester Post Bulletin, none of the Rochester cases required hospitalization. The FDA says there is no ongoing risk and the last confirmed case was a month ago. Further, the supplier has been replaced.

The good news? No new cases have been reported. The bad news, overall 132 cases of the food illness were reported across the country (in Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New York, Ohio, Rhode Island, South Carolina, and Wisconsin).
