Several traffic accidents have been reported in the Rochester area since 5:00 AM and more are likely due to slick driving conditions.

There have now been three fatal crashes on snow-covered highways in the New Ulm area this week.

Local emergency responders are being kept busy this morning with numerous reports of crashes and vehicle spinouts on slippery roadways throughout southeastern Minnesota.

Snow developed early Wednesday in SE Minnesota and is already affecting motorists as driving conditions are deteriorating.

The snow arrived in the Rochester area in the early afternoon and quickly covered roads and reduced visibility.
