Byron College Student Crowned 2020 Princess Kay of the Milky Way
Minneapolis (KROC AM News) - A Byron college student has been named the 67th Princess Kay of the Milky Way.
And she becomes a back-to-back princess.
Crowned Wednesday night during a streamed virtual event was 19-year-old Brenna Connelly who represented Olmsted County. She will now serve as a goodwill ambassador for the dairy industry and Minnesota's dairy farmers for the next year. Her parents are Craig and Heather Connelly.
The annual crowning normally takes place during the Minnesota State Fair, which has been canceled because of the pandemic.
Next up: the traditional butter portrait carving scheduled for Thursday.
This is the second straight year a Byron college student has been crowned. Last year’s princess was Amy Kyllo.
