All of Minnesota was crying a few weeks ago when we heard that the Minnesota State Fair was canceled due to safety reasons with Covid-19.  Today, Iowa is feeling all of the feelings as the news just broke that the Iowa State Fair is canceled for the summer.

This year, we're heartbroken to say we won't be able to come together to celebrate the year's best in ag, industry, entertainment and achievement at the Iowa State Fair. Fairwell for now, and we'll see you Aug. 12-22, 2021. - @IowaStateFair on Twitter

I grew up in Iowa and one of my favorite memories was walking from building to building to try to find the big, butter cow.  I also loved getting all of the freebies from vendors and having a bag of items to take home.  My favorite memories though were the rides, especially the big slide.  My siblings had a few projects go to the fair as well throughout the years and it was fun to walk through the buildings to find their big displays showcased for the entire state.

The summer of 2020 will be one that we will never forget...and in 20201, we will just have to do twice as much to make up for the summer we didn't get to have.
