Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The death of another Olmsted County resident was listed among the coronavirus deaths reported Sunday by the Minnesota Department of Health.

The individual who died was in their early 70s and their death was the 46th COVID death in Olmsted County since the beginning of the pandemic. Dodge County, which until a couple of weeks ago, had not experienced any coronavirus-related deaths, has 2 deaths listed in today's report. Freeborn County has had 2 more deaths and one additional COVID death was reported in Winona County. The statewide death toll reported on Sunday was 85.

There were over 3400 new COVID-19 infections were reported in Minnesota on Sunday, while the testing total was close to 42,500 for a daily testing positivity rate of about 8-percent. 105 new cases were found in Olmsted County, which pushed the county's overall total for confirmed COVID cases above 8000.
