Undated (KROC-AM News) - The Minnesota State Patrol responded to three fatal crashes over a span of 12 hours yesterday and early today.

The first was reported just before 2 PM yesterday and resulted in the deaths of two people. The State Patrol says a 20-year-old Wisconsin woman and a 25-year-old man from North Branch were killed when the car they were in a car that first collided with a pickup headed in the same direction and then smashed head-on into a dump truck on a highway in Lindstrom in east-central Minnesota.

The second fatal crash was reported around 11 PM in the Willmar area and claimed the life of a 31-year-old Kerkhoven man. The State Patrol says the victim was alone in a Jeep Grand Cherokee that went into a ditch along a highway near Kerkhoven and rolled multiple times.

The most recent deadly incident on Minnesota roads was reported around 12:45 AM on Highway 169 just north of Blue Earth. The State Patrol says 76-year-old Harold Renkley of Blue Earth was pronounced dead at the scene after the minivan he was driving collided with a car headed in the opposite direction. The driver of the car, 20-year-old Jeffrey Gunzenhauser of Winnebago was transported to the Hennepin County Medical Center with life-threatening injuries, while a passenger in the minivan suffered non-life threatening injuries.
