They are reportedly the largest employer in Waseca. And they will be closing up shop by the end of 2017. Quad Graphics, formerly Brown Printing will close by the end of 2017.

Quad Graphics bought Brown three years ago for $100 million dollars. There were two other facilities included in the purchase.  One in Illinois that employed 550 and another in Pennsylvania that employed 500.

At one time there were 750 non union workers in Waseca. With cuts that number was down in the 400's now but that still left them the largest employer in Waseca.

According to aA spokeswoman for the company,  about 30 employees will continue working for the company in the Waseca area after the plant closes to support clients and other Quad facilities.
