This Rochester Corner Won’t Look Like This For Much Longer

Virgil's Auto Repair and Towing has been sold. The new owners sent a press release on Friday explaining that Royal and Matt Johnson have purchased the business and "are dedicated to maintaining the outstanding service that has been built over the last 65 years by the Nelson family." Virgil's will remain open at it's current location, on the corner of 2nd and 11th Ave NW, until next Spring and then the property will be sold. Then the business will then be relocated to an as of now undisclosed spot.

The property has been sold to a California company known as EKN Development Group. EKN's website outlines their plans for a new five-story hotel that will have up to 150 rooms. The developers say: "2nd Street Hotel blends old world charm with contemporary amenities and exceptional service to create a haven of well-being for a world-class hotel experience."
