After some near record-breaking mild temps, there are BIG changes on the way in the weather department across southeast Minnesota today!

The National Weather Service forecast for Rochester on this, the 4th day of December couldn't be more different. We'll start out mild with some scattered showers and maybe even a thunderstorm. But then things will start to change-- big time-- this afternoon.

As a massive cold front moves in, the winds will pick up. In fact, there's already a wind advisory that'll go into effect at 3 this afternoon and run through 4 tomorrow morning, with winds between 25 to 35 miles per hour, gusting to near 50 mph!

Then, the temperatures will start to drop, as well... and will keep dropping all the way to the upper teens for lows across our area tonight. (Yeah, that's an over 40 degree drop from this morning! Yikes!) And, the cold weather will continue for pretty much the rest of the week, too, with highs only in the low to mid 20's.

And, we might even see some snow tonight, too, although the official Weather Service forecast says we'll see less than an inch of the white stuff. Oh, well... I guess it IS December. Bundle up! And, get the full forecast and more details HERE.
