September is a great time of year, it is cool, but not too cool, if you get what I am saying. I think it is the prime time of year to do outdoor activities, like biking, hiking among others.

The Root River Trail Towns are putting on the "Taste of the Trail" and it kicks off this Saturday! You can bike to the towns of Lanesboro, Peterson and Wahlen to see what they have to offer!

Seriously, you have to check this out! Lanesboro is offering a Farmers Market, movies in the park, tons of games and fun! In Wahlan, from 10am-3pm you can try some fantastic Lefse among many other great Norwegian treats and foods! Great food will be had in Peterson as well with Apple Pie, Zucchini Bread, curds and much more!

You can get the entire list of what is happening for each town right HERE.

The best part? It takes place over 3 Saturdays! YES! Preston, Fountain and Harmony are hosting on Saturday the 16th, while Rushford, Rushford Village and Houston will host on the 23rd! That is THREE amazing days on one of the best bike trails in the state. Every Saturday, each town that is participating will give you a taste of their culture, food and fun! Check it out!
