Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) – It appears gasoline prices in Rochester are leveling off after the recent spike caused by Hurricane Harvey.

Prices began rising two weeks ago after refineries in the Harvey storm zone temporarily shut down.

Rochester’s average price for regular was $2.30 per gallon when the refineries shut down. It shot up to $2.55 in just over a week, the highest seen in Rochester in two years.

This past weekend prices began falling and as of Monday morning, regular was selling for $2.45 a gallon. The statewide average was $2.49.
