Rochester Man Seriously Hurt After Being Hit by a Vehicle
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester man was seriously injured Friday after being struck by a vehicle.
Police reports indicate the man was running across Civic Center Dr at the 6th Ave. intersection around 10:30 PM when he was hit.
Police say the man suffered a serious head and other injuries and was in the ICU at St. Marys Hospital. He has been identified as 24-year-old Adam Pettey.
The vehicle was driven by 20-year-old Safa Mohamed. She told officers she did not see Pettey when he ran into the roadway.
Witnesses told officers it appeared Pettey was looking the other way when he ran into the street. They also said Pettey may have run into the vehicle and was hit by the passenger side mirror.
