Two radio broadcasters have been fired after making racist remarks about the opposing team's players. The comments were made during the pregame warm ups and were captured by live mics used for the games live internet stream. In the video, which has been shared thousands of times on social media, you hear the two mocking the names of the players on the Eagle Grove basketball team.

The Globe Gazette in Mason City identified the two as Orin Harris, a longtime sports announcer for KIOW radio, and producer Holly Jane Kusserow-Smidt.

Forest City School District Superintendent Darwin Lehmann told the newspaper, "The communication that took place during this broadcast is inconsistent with the policies and values of Forest City Schools. We expect all staff to hold the same values that we teach in our education system every day."
