Andy Brownell

I’m a lifelong Rochester resident and host of Rochester Today on KROC-AM. The lively one hour program runs from 10 to 11 a.m. weekdays and features experts and other guests, including regular visits by Mayor Ardell Brede, City Attorney Terry Atkins, and Rochester Public Schools Superintendent Michael Munoz. Every Tuesday and Friday conservative commentator and author Tom Ostrom joins me to talk about the events and issues of the day, and the Tracy McCray gets behind the microphone every Wednesday and Thursday to add even more space to the discussion. The regular experts that appear on Rochester Today the field questions from KROC-AM listeners include the Legal Eagle David Shulman, automotive technician Dick Zeitler with Auto Tech 101, and Jim Walters from the Power of Learning with advice on how to become a better critical thinker. Rochester Magazine editor Steve Lange is also a regular on the program. When I’m not hosting Rochester Today, I wears my objective journalist hat as a member of the KROC news team for over 30 years.
